Rebranding

• The Integrated Payment Gateway of the Melaka State Government, formerly known as e-Bayar, was rebranded as MelakaPay following the decision made during the Melaka State ICT Steering Committee Meeting (JPICT) No. 1/2020 on 11 June 2022, chaired by the Deputy State Secretary of Melaka (Management).

MelakaPay Access Platforms

• The Melaka State Integrated Payment Gateway (MelakaPay) consists of two platforms: the MelakaPay portal and the MelakaPay mobile application. MelakaPay is an online payment platform designed to facilitate public payments for various services offered by multiple departments and agencies under the Melaka State Government. The MelakaPay portal can be accessed via the website (https://melakapay.melaka.gov.my), while the mobile application can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and App Store.

Services and Agency Participation

• A total of 40 services and 20 agencies under the Melaka State Government have joined MelakaPay. To further enhance user convenience, the MelakaPay mobile application was developed in 2021 as an alternative payment channel via smartphone. The first phase of the mobile app development included 7 types of services: Land Tax, Parcel Tax, Assessment Tax, Parking Compound, Heritage Charge, TAPEM Education Loan, and Zakat (Property and Fitrah). Currently, the services available on the MelakaPay mobile application are the same as those provided on the MelakaPay Portal.
