Objective
  • To plan, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate strategic policies and economic development programmes for the State of Melaka to achieve the socio-economic goals set by the Government, as well as to encourage active participation of the private sector.

 

Core Functions
  1. Plan, implement, and review socio-economic development policies and strategies for the State of Melaka to achieve the mission and objectives of state development in line with national development policies such as the Five-Year Malaysia Plan, Privatisation Policy, and others.
  2. Approve, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate the performance of state development projects implemented by State Government agencies in line with state development objectives.
  3. Request, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate Malaysia Plan projects carried out by Federal Government agencies in the State of Melaka in line with state development objectives.
  4. Approve, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate the performance of state development projects implemented by the private sector in line with state development objectives.

 

Client Charter
 

(i)

Prepare and update state development plans within 6 to 24 months.

(ii)

Obtain approval for development projects and programmes as follows:
i) State Allocation – within 6 months
ii) Federal Allocation – within 12 months
iii) Privatisation – within 3 months after complete application is received
iv) Special Allocation – within 1 to 2 weeks after complete application is received.

(iii)

Verify payment claims within 3 days after receiving complete documentation.

(iv)

Coordinate and monitor development projects and programmes at least twice during the implementation period.

(v)

Prepare one social impact assessment study within 2 years after project completion.
