Plan, formulate, and coordinate all state sports policies and objectives.

Coordinate and assist high-performance sports associations in Melaka.

Intensify athlete development programmes in Melaka.

Administer the financial resources of the State Sports Council to achieve objectives optimally.

Plan and coordinate sports programmes.

Make recommendations to the Melaka State Government on methods, measures, and policies needed to facilitate sports development.

(i) |
Hold meetings with State Sports Associations at least five (5) times a year. |

(ii) |
Process applications for financial assistance to State Sports Associations within fourteen (14) working days from the date of approval. |

(iii) |
Process applications for financial assistance and sports equipment from Sports Associations within ten (10) working days from the date of receiving a complete application. |
|
(iv) |
Make payment and issue financial assistance cheques to sports associations within fourteen (14) working days from the approval date, subject to the availability of funds. |

(v) |
Make payment to suppliers within fourteen (14) working days from the date goods or services are received and all related documents are completed. |
|
(vi) |
Conduct monitoring of the Sports Development Programme training at least twice a month. |
